Jamieson & District Historical Society Inc.
Research Facilities
Largely through the generous donations of past and present residents of the district, J&DHS now has an extensive file system containing historical information for many families, old & new, of the district. Photos, documents, stories and artifacts are all catalogued accordingly.
In addition to family histories we hold historical directories and historical information on schools and cemeteries. You can see more of what we have here.
Our small library contains a great collection of books relating to the North East of Victoria. These are available for research or general interest perusing while in at the museum. See what our library holds here.
While we do hold information on microfiche and microfilm, we no longer have a working microfiche/film reader. All of our microfiche/film files that are relevant to this area are available through other sources. You can see what we currently hold on microfiche/film, and where else to find it, here.
For any research queries please either write to us, phone us or email us providing as much information as you can, i.e names, dates, location etc. We will endeavor to get back to you as soon as we can.
Please remember we are a volunteer service so it may take a few days for us to return your initial contact, but we will get back to you!
Costs for research are on a case by case basis, but generally a donation to the Society will cover our costs.
