Demonstrations & Displays
The demonstrations that are dotted around the festival provide another element of excitement to the festival. Demonstrations in past festivals have included fly fishing and gold panning. Current demonstrations include wood working, blacksmithing, whip-cracking, sculpting and art, with one of our resident artists creating a stunning work during the course of the day. This work is auctioned off towards the end of the day and some very lucky person will go home with a Julie Guppy original.....and the paint is still wet!
The blacksmiths create unique items that can be bid on in a silent auction.

The festival also boasts some very interesting displays, some of which are paraded along Perkins Street during the course of the day.
Displays include Classic Cars, Stationary Engines, vintage and reproductions of very early transport, a steam powered bike, penny farthings, fine arts and Cole Clark Guitars.
Of course each year there's something new on display so it's always exciting to come and see what's on offer!!
